Dr. Eric George received his Bachelor of Science degree from the Pennsylvania State University before graduating from Hahnemann University School of Medicine. While at Hahnemann he was selected for Alpha Omega Alpha, the National Medical Honor Society.
Dr. George served his ophthalmology residency at St. Luke’s-Roosevelt Hospital Center of Columbia University, New York City. While there, he received the distinction of serving as Chief Resident. He next attended Louisiana State University Eye Center in New Orleans, where he completed a fellowship in Cornea and External Disease and LASIK surgery, and was a Clinical Associate Professor of Ophthalmology.
Dr. George has lectured to general practice physicians and optometrists on innovations in eye care, including the new technology of premium intraocular implants for cataract surgery. He is also involved in the education and training of resident physicians at Abington Memorial Hospital.
Since entering private practice in 1998, Dr. George has successfully completed thousands of cataract, cornea and glaucoma surgeries, and he performs blade-free LASIK vision correction.
Dr. George and his wife Krissa, a pediatrician, live in Holland and are parents of two adult children.
